O.J. Johnson

OJ Johnson is an artist from Boise, ID who recently settled in Oakland, CA to pursue a larger art community. They recently graduated with a BFA in Visual Arts, with an emphasis in Sculpture and Art Jewelry & Metalsmithing from Boise State University. Their work blends playfulness, movement, and wearability through various mediums- with their favorite being metal. After graduating, they spent time at Penland for a residency in fine metals, spent the summer making public art for the Museum of Outdoor Arts and have continued creating in their home studio since then. They are continually invested in community, learning, and making because that’s what makes life so rich!
