8 week class on Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm, September 30th - November 18th

This class is for beginners and intermediate students.

This class will teach students lost wax casting for jewelry making. In this class students will make at least two projects in wax and cast them in metal in our centrifugal force casting machine. Students will learn a variety of techniques including:

• Wax tooling techniques with gravers

• Use of hot and cold techniques in wax mold making

• Investing plaster molds for burn out

• Use of kiln to burn out

• Use of oxy-acetylene torch to melt metal

• Use of polishing machine for finish work

This is a hands-on casting experience that allows students the opportunity to create in one medium and finish in another.

The price of this class does not include a materials fee. Materials costs are paid as used for casting.
